"Tawakkul is another attribute that results from a true Eeman in Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta`aala and the hereafter and continual remembrance of both. It is an attitude that emanates from the conviction that:

  • Allah has put me in this world temporarily for a test and all of my good and bad circumstances are part of the test.
  • The test is about my performance in given circumstances, not about how good or bad my circumstances are. Regardless of what circumstances I encounter, the test is about how well I exhaust all my efforts in achieving the objective of the Deen Allaah has prescribed for me for His pleasure.
  • My success depends on the quality (in terms of relevance, wisdom, propriety, tactics, strategy and sincerity) and quantity I put in, not on the material results they appear to produce, regardless of what kind of good or bad circumstances I happen to encounter.
  • Whatever Allah has commanded us to do and the objectives He wants us to achieve are the best things for us in this world and in the hereafter. My duty is to continue steadfastly on the job Allah has assigned to me utilizing every tool humanly possible and doing my earnest best, without worrying about the results, but instead leaving the results totally to Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta`aala.
  • The real success is attaining the pleasure of Allah, not the results in this world. Whether my efforts bear any visible result in this world or not, I must continue on my course steadfastly.
  • Whatever hardships, test, trials and sufferings I endure during my servitude to Him are all part of His plan for my ultimate success. Enduring them with contentment without a word of complaint or without being disheartened in any way is a part of my job as His slave that I am doing for His pleasure.
These convictions produce a winning state of mind and a believer feels that because I truly believe in Allah and am doing what He wants me to do, He is with me, watching me, and accepting my efforts; and He is not going to let my endeavours go in vain, let me fail or leave me unsupported. No one can do anything to me that is not part of His plan for me as His slave.  Regardless of what transpires in this world, the ultimate success is mine, as long as I am truly committed to His work. If I keep the right attitude, come what may, I will be successful:

The Messenger of Allah, Sall Allaahu `alayhi wa sallam said, "How wonderful it is for a believer that he always ends up with goodness: If he suffers and remains steadfast, it is rewarding; if good things happen and he thanks Allah, that is also rewarding." (Suhaib in the Muslim)

It is a totally liberating, very empowering state of mind that a true believer attains because of his trust in and reliance on the power, authority, help and support of Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta`aala and because of the contentment he feels in serving Allah without being concerned about the results that Allah provides for his untiring efforts. This kind of resolute trust in and reliance on Allah– Tawakkul – provides such a tranquility to one’s heart, such a courage in one’s psyche and such a resilience in one’s nature that a believer cannot be scared, pressured into giving up, made to compromise, compelled to give in, bought out of his Islamic mission, or forced into submission by any enemy, tyrant, power or authority. For those who have Tawakkul, Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta`aala says:

Whoever relies on Allah (has Tawakkul), He is sufficient for him (At-Talaaq 65:3)

Thus, Tawakkul is a natural corollary of true faith and is one of the evidences (Shahada) of faith. A person with true faith will always rely on Allah / have Tawakkul. Lack of Tawakkul indicates lack of true faith. This was true for previous Ummah's as it is for us:

The believers are only those who: when Allah is mentioned, their hearts become fearful; when His verses are recited to them, they increase their faith; and only on their Lord they rely (have Tawakkul). ( 8:2)

Indeed, there is no authority for him (Shaytaan) over those who believe and rely upon their Lord (have Tawakkul). (An-Nahl 16:99)

If Shaytaan tries to sow doubts in the mind of a believer, a believer with Tawakkul is protected by Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta`aala:

The Messenger of Allah, Sall Allaahu `alayhi wa sallam said, “The human mind keeps wandering and branching away into different valleys. If someone follows his mind in all those wanderings, Allah does not care which valley ruins that person. On the other hand, whoever has Tawakkul in Allah, He will be sufficient to save him from those wanderings.” (Ibn Maajah from ‘Amr Ibn Al-’Aas)

Seventy thousand of my Ummah will enter Jannah without reckoning. They will be those who did not seek cure through mantras, who did not take omens and who had Tawakkul in their Lord. (Bukhari and Muslim from Ibn ‘Abbaas)

And when you have made a decision, then rely upon Allah (have Tawakkul). Verily, Allah loves those who rely on Him. If Allah helps you, no one can overcome you; but if He forsakes you, who is there who can help you after Him. And upon Allah must the believers rely (have Tawakkul).  (Aali-‘Imraan 3:159-160)

If at any point, a believer feels powerless or hopeless, he should refresh his faith and tawakkul in Allah and continue his personal or Islamic struggle with hope and a winning attitude. The Prophet, Sall Allaahu `alayhi wa sallam said:

Allah Ta`alaa condemns powerlessness / hopelessness. It is incumbent upon you to take a stand with hope and intelligent resolve. If you are overpowered in a matter, then say, “Sufficient is Allah for my means and He is the best supporter.”  (Reported by Aboo Dawoodfrom ‘Owf Bin Maalik)

With the degeneration of the Ummah, Tawakkul has also taken on wrong connotations. Some people think that Tawakkul entails only sitting like monks and doing nothing, hoping that Allah will do something. That meaning is from Shaytaan to make Muslims inactive and indolent

‘Umar Bin Khattaab, radhiallahu `anhu heard the Messenger of Allah, Sall Allaahu `alayhi wa sallam saying, “If you trust Allah with right kind of Tawakkul, He will provide you sustenance as He provides for the birds – they go out in the morning with empty stomachs and come back in the evening with full stomachs.” (Tirmidzi)

A bird sitting in his nest, praising Allah, will not have his stomach filled. It has to go out to seek food. It is only the one that goes out and does its best to find food, comes back full.

Tawakkul, as described above, is related to one’s efforts and results of those efforts for the matters that fall under the area of human endeavour. A person with right concept of accountability to and tawakkul on Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta`aala puts in his best possible efforts to do what Allah expects him to do in those matters and does not worry about the results. He positively and constructively deals with whatever he encounters and continues with full force doing his level best regardless of the results or consequences. Another matter closely related to Tawakkul is being content with matters that are beyond our power and influence.

There are many things in our life that are decided for us without our input or approval. The examples are the parents we are born to, our genes that determine many things in our life, our physical features, the circumstances of the society we are born in or we live in, etc. The Muslims who understand that our life is a test of how we live and do the best with whatever we got and whatever situations we have been put in, they are fully content and happy with the circumstances, putting all their efforts and energies in making the best of their situations and making the correct Islamic decisions in those situations.

They know that their personal success is not dependent on circumstances but in doing their best in the given circumstances. If they find themselves in bad circumstances, they work hard to do better, and keep seeking Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta`aala’s help, mercy and bounty through Du’aa and Istikhaarah to go with their best of the efforts.  On the other hand, the losers concentrate on their circumstances and on the things beyond their control. They neither seek Allah’s help, mercy and bounty, nor do they take the circumstances as given and work on performing the best they can in those given situations. They end up being unhappy, miserable complainers always complaining about what they do not have, rather than making the best of what they do have. They end up being the utter losers. This is what was expressed in the following Hadith:

“One of the factors that indicate blessedness (Sa’aadah) of a person is his being pleased with Allah’s decision for him, while two of the attitudes indicating wretchedness / despondence (Shaqaawah) of a person are: his not seeking goodness from Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta`aala or his being unhappy about Allah’s decisions for him.” (Sa’ad in Musnad of Ahmad and Jaami’ of At-Tirmidzee)

Why the life. if Heaven or Hell is predestined upon us?

Bismillah

Assalaamu Alayikkum Wr Wb....

I always thought, if Allah knows everything and HE has predestained everything, then what is the sense of living, as our future of hereafter [ like going to Heaven or Hell ] is already marked. Why can't Allah then put us directly to Heaven or Hell than giving us a chance to live to make everything confirmed.I got wonder stuck when I came across the Sura Ta'ha.Verse 134 ,where Allah Himself answering this question to me .

" And if we had destroyed them with some punishment before it, they [non believers ] would assuredly have said: Our Lord! If only you had sent  us a messenger to us, so that we might have followed YOUR revelations before we were (thus) humbled and disgraced! (134)

Yes the above verse answers the question. As we all know humanbeings are the only species that given the blessing of free will. Let us just imagine Allah asked a section to enter Paradise and another section to Hell, without a chance to live in this earth. Then the persons in the heaven will be so happy that they won't have any complaints. But what about the group in Hell?????Whether they simply admit their part and destiny???The torment???They may even say Allah, who have the power to give full justice to any one,'YOU are not doing justice[Allah forbid!] with us ,as we are not given a chance to prove ourselves as we are blessed by free will,we will be seeking YOU and will be finding the Truth. If the messenger had come, then we should have followed him. This is not justice. This is not justice' and they will continue saying...

Our Lord! If only you had sent  us a messenger to us, so that we might have followed YOUR revelations before we were (thus) humbled and disgraced! (134) "

HE has provided us a chance. So that our brain would admit what our fault was during the judgement day.

Prophet Nooh's [peace be upon him] son didn't trust his own father, died as a disbeliever. Our beloved Prophet Mohammed's [peace be upon him] uncle even in his death bed didn't admit the faith in Allah. If he had declared the faith, then the Quran verse

"Perish the hands of the father of flame! Perish he! No profit to him from all his wealth, and all his gains! Burnt soon will he be in a fire of blazing flame. His wife shall carry the (kindling) wood as fuel; A twisted rope of palm leaf fiber round her neck." (Masad[also called as Tabbat] 111)

...will be prove wrong [Allah forbid] because the verse was revelaed when his [pbuh] uncle was alive and he himself got a chance to prove the Quran wrong simply by accepting his faith in Allah and HIS apostle. But it did not happen.Because Allah knows every one's heart and feelings than any one else.

The above two are just random examples I choose for the context.

Allah says in the glorious Quran:-

[verse 5:9] To those who believe and do deeds of righteousness hath God promised forgiveness and a great reward.

[verse 5:10] Those who reject faith and deny Our Signs will be Companions of Hell-fire.

"Say: Each is awaiting; so await ye! Ye will come to know who are the owners of the path of equity, and who is right. (135)"

Merciful storekeeper's mercy made a Robber to accept Islam

"Merciful storekeeper changes robber's mind, religion"..

An act of charity and patience made a robber to accept Islam .And  I wonder here why the headline of the CNN missed the term "MUSLIM" which is often found when a piece of news of terrorism and such cruel things happens and all are so eager to stamp it under Muslim /Islam...and this I will call as a Media trick ..right?Yes indeed it is their trick and foul games that being played behind the curtain to defame a religion.

But whatever all their game are a real Bonus to Islam as I will say it is an indirect Da'wah[call to Islam]....Though they making the religion notoriously famous with medias and all and even by Niqab ban law in France...they are inviting millions of people's attention the peaceful religion and thus they making people so curious that they learn and understand Islam and accept the truth. In that case I have to thank you all for doing such a great job and even coining the word Islamophobia.

All is well.Because Allah plays a great trick than who tries to play a trick to HIM.In the glorious Quran Allah Azwaajal says :

3:54
"And the disbelievers plotted and planned,
but Allah too planned.
And Allah is the best of planners"
[Chapter The family of Imraan,03:54]

If any one finds it difficult to read the news link...I just cutting and paste the entire news here for you to read.

A potential victim became a compassionate counselor during a recent robbery attempt, changing the would-be criminal's mind -- and apparently his religion.
Storekeeper Mohammad Sohail was closing up his Long Island convenience store just after midnight on May 21 when -- as shown on the store's surveillance video -- a man came in wielding a baseball bat and demanding money.
"He said, 'Hurry up and give me the money, give me the money!' and I said, 'Hold on'," Sohail recalled in a phone interview with CNN on Tuesday, after the store video and his story was carried on local TV.

Sohail said he reached under the counter, grabbed his gun and told the robber to drop the bat and get down on his knees.
"He's crying like a baby," Sohail said. "He says, 'Don't call police, don't shoot me, I have no money, I have no food in my house.' "
Amidst the man's apologies and pleas, Sohail said he felt a surge of compassion.
He made the man promise never to rob anyone again and when he agreed, Sohail gave him $40 and a loaf of bread.
"When he gets $40, he's very impressed, he says, 'I want to be a Muslim just like you,' " Sohail said, adding he had the would-be criminal recite an Islamic oath.
"I said 'Congratulations. You are now a Muslim and your name is Nawaz Sharif Zardari.'"
When asked why he chose the hybrid of two Pakistani presidents' names, the Pakistani immigrant laughed and said he had been watching a South Asian news channel moments before the confrontation.
Sohail said the man fled the store when he turned away to get the man some free milk.
He said police might still be looking for the suspect but he doesn't intend to press charges.
"The guy, you know, everybody has a hard time right now, it's too bad for everybody right now in this economy," said the storekeeper.

Yes the shopkeeper is a true Muslim...His method is Islam...And such good and peaceful things is all about Islam.Learn and understand before you contempt the beautiful religion...Look into Quran and to our Holy prophet's life history and learn the the way to truth.

How media portrays Muslims!!!!

"Usually I get lots of useless forward messages in my inbox… but thought I should share this one.
As many of you open minded people know Muslims are portrayed as Psycho Terrorists, Suicide bombers and Muslim men are oppressive towards women. Now I am not saying there isn’t Muslims who are those things but you have to realise not all Muslims are perfect the same way not all Human is perfect.
One bad Muslim does not make ALL Muslims bad. Anyway here is the comparison of how the media shows you Muslims and how the stupid people believe what they hear… i.e. “The Sun” or “Metro” readers:"

and make sure you are free of prejudices in your mind before reading the link.

May Allah help you to realize the fact and atleast not to hate Muslims by generalizing

Who is a True Muslim?

"A true Muslim is the one, whose…

Heart, mind and soul is completely surrendered and
submitted to Allah.

Muslim are safe from his tongue and from his
hand, he will not betray  others by stealing, back
biting or oppressing physically, financially, or by
his tongue.

A Muslim is the one who does not change his
words or his commitment and he says the truth.
Halal as Halal and Haraam as Haraam.

 He always
tries to be in state of Islam  obeying Allah the
maximum of his ability.

A Muslim  when he
remembers Allah, his heart  becomes humble  and
trembles, soft, his body shivers and  his  eyes  tear
from the fear and love of Allah.

He  believes in Allah and His Prophet [PBUH],
with knowledge and action.

 He is far away from
wrong company and wrong doers.

He  keeps his
word, he keep his covenant, his promise.

He tries
to seek the knowledge of Allah wa  Rasooluhu in
every action, in whatever he talks and whatever he
does.

The believers are his friends, his brothers and his
supporters.

He loves dignity and hates disgrace.

He keeps his
tongue with the truth and always walks with the
light of the truth.

The Satan has no power over him but he  is
powerful over his own Satan.

His submission  to
his Lord[swt] provides him with his own power,
from the power of Allah [swt]

A Muslim loves for his brother what he loves for
himself and hates for his brother what he hates for
himself.

He decorates himself with the character,  manner
and the qualities Allah wa Rasooluhu love.

He tries to be a doer not a talker.

He makes sure, he advices himself, before he
advices others.

He look to his mistakes before he
tries to correct others mistakes"

A Smile to you

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Charity is prescribed for each descendant of Adam every day the sun rises." He was then asked: "From what do we give charity every day?" The Prophet answered: "The doors of goodness are many...enjoining good, forbidding evil, removing harm from the road, listening to the deaf, leading the blind, guiding one to the object of his need, hurrying with the strength of one's legs to one in sorrow who is asking for help, and supporting the feeble with the strength of one's arms--all of these are charity prescribed for you." He also said: "Your smile for your brother is charity." - Fiqh-us-Sunnah, Volume 3, Number 98

So brothers and sisters smile to our fellow beings..even your pleasant face dazzling in happiness and peace is also a message and invitation to the peaceful religion Islam...Be polite and kind to our onlookers and then lower your gaze...don't be so rude and terrific in our eagerness to lower our gaze...each and every moment of actions [body language] is an invitation [da'wah] to our fellow beings ....make them feel how blessed we are because we are Muslims, how peaceful we are as we put our trust in Allah Azwaajal...Let our life and life styles be a message to others ...Smile and give that charity to the needy..even the wealthy need that charity..charity of smile... a smile can give great messages to a heart which is seeking the way to truth....

May Allah help us to smile from the bottom of our heart which radiates our innermost peaceful bliss..insha Allah....Aameen...

Forgive Me...

Duniya  always intertwine
And intoxicates like a wine.
Whenever I became  infantine
Allah Azwaajal makes me confine.
Of all the times I forget YOU and incline,
YOU still always makes me fine.
As I am created as a libertine,
O Allah forgive me whenever I whine.

Impact of Shariah in Non-Muslim World

NIGERIA, whose population is split nearly into half between Muslims and Christians, introduced Shariah law
more than a decade ago as a parallel system for its Muslim citizens. It first began in the state of Zamfara, and as of 2009 it is said that nine states have instituted Shariah.
In 2007, the BBC featured Nigeria (the state of Zamfara) in a documentary titled This World Inside a Sharia Court to see what effect Shariah had on that society. Muslims aside, what Christian women had to say in the documentary was quite amazing.
“To be honest, Shariah has helped us a lot. Before Shariah, we had gamblers, alcoholics and prostitutes. Now these have been banished and new learning centers have opened where we can learn things like business skills. Men can't go around beating their wives - thanks to Shariah, they can't now,” said one lady.
“Now we dress according to Shariah guidelines. The way that Islam stipulates. We like them because unlike the traditional wraps, they don't come undone when you walk around. The hijab is comfortable and does not fall off, remarked another.
The documentary noted that Shariah had reduced violence (a salient feature of a law that has unfortunately been maligned as being violent!). Alcoholism and drug abuse also had reduced dramatically among youngsters in Zamfara. A Nigerian journalist commented, “The Shariah has brought a lot of changes to Zamfara state… You can see physically as you can walk around the capital Gusau. You don't have brothels littering the streets. Twenty years ago you could see beer parlors, you could see brothels and prostitutes sitting around... You don't have that today.”
As for communal harmony, the film said in acknowledgement: “Zamfara is now a multicultural state where Muslim and Christian communities appear to live in harmony. Christians are a minority but they are allowed to worship without fear of persecution. They are a part of everyday life in Zamfara and seem to be accepted by their Muslim neighbors.”
So how barbaric, intolerant and violent really is the Shariah law? All praises are for Allah that He sent the best guidance for us. The onus is on human beings to follow it.
Before concluding, it may serve to hint the reader towards another exhaustive subject: Shariah’s influence in shaping Britain and America, which we primarily refer to as...
The West
It may be outrageous to even suggest that the Shariah had a small influence, let alone a noteworthy role, in the development of Britain’s revolutionary Common Law and the Magna Carta which later influenced the Constitution of the United States itself, but that is precisely what evidence points to. The subject is beyond the scope of this writer and the reader is duly referred to The Islamic Origins of Common Law by John Makdisi. The full topic has been very well explained in brief by Yasir Qadhi in the video Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness in the Maqasid Al-Shariah [The subject relevant to our article starts at approx. 20 min after an introduction to the Maqasid Al-Shariah].
That the good aspects of modern Western civilization (like basic human rights, justice and the rule of law) were perhaps influenced by the Shariah fills us with a sense of pride as well as a feeling of sadness, because today we no longer uphold our divine constitution. As a Muslim journalist commented once, “The Muslims created the finest institutions in human history and failed to live by them. The secular institutions have exhausted their possibilities. Man is looking for faith again. History has offered the Muslims yet another opportunity to prove the effectiveness of their institutions.”
Insha Allah. There is always hope that with a proper revival of Islam among Muslims, we can once again rise and be that source of guiding light for humanity. Because it is only Muslims who can truly apply God’s law due to their faith in and submission to Allah’s Religion.
Conclusion
Man cannot legislate himself. Man is ever in need of guidance in all aspects of life, and our Creator did not leave us astray. He sent revelations to prophets and messengers throughout human history, the end of which came with the life and message of Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) who was sent as the last and final messenger to all human beings. No new messenger or message will come after him. For that reason, only his revelation has been (and will be) preserved without corruption, while all others have been lost, changed or destroyed. It is the Shariah of Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) that must serve as the guiding light for humanity until the Last Day. Allah said in the Qur’an:
"Truly, the religion with Allah is Islam." (Qur'an, 3:19)
"And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers." (Qur'an, 3:85)
For those who follow the divine guidance, Allah promises prosperity in this life and in the afterlife. Yes afterlife, which is the ultimate destination of our existence, and the success or failure of which will be decided on the Day of Judgment when we all will be held accountable for our deeds by the Lord of the Universe.
We could have known none of this without divine revelation from God which He sent in all ages and time with clear evidences as proof of the revelation being divine.
Today Islam stands out. It is comprehensive, encompassing, miraculous and lasting. It claims of being that divine religion of God. Is there another religion that is even comparable to this way of life?
